Prosaunas Thermo-Aspen 2x4 S4SEE sauna bench material is the preferred wood used in saunas throughout Scandinavia. Prosaunas selects premium, straight-grained Thermo-Aspen with a uniform texture and a warm rich hue that imparts a sophisticated appearance. Because it does not secrete resin, splinter, and is comfortable to the touch in high heat, Thermo-Aspen makes an ideal sauna material.

Thermally modified wood is highly desirable for use in saunas. Thermal modification is a completely organic process that uses heat, steam, and pressure to physically enhance the properties of the wood. Sauna wood that is thermally modified is more dimensionally stable, more water-resistant, has an ideal moisture content, and is far superior to untreated wood for resisting decay, pests, and harmful fungi.

S4SEE wood profile features four smooth sides and softened edges for added comfort. This profile is perfect for benches and floors.
